A more than 500-bed acute care facility, Skyline Health Care Center has been operational for over 50 years. Located in San Jose, Calif., it is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and California Department of Human Services. A part of Mariner Health System, the center employs more than 250 individuals on its staff, including psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, addiction counselors, nurses, therapeutic recreation specialists, dietitians, pharmacists and case managers. Skyline Health Care Center offers a wide variety of services, such as inpatient and outpatient care, community wellness and behavioral health programs, home health aides, primary care, cardiac rehabilitation, and long-term care and hospice services. The center also offers treatments for adrenal gland cancer, HIV and AIDS, alcohol and chemical dependency, arthritis; ear, nose and throat disorders; bariatric weight loss; and bone and soft tissue sarcoma. Additionally, it provides skilled nursing facilities, women s and infants' health services, cancer education and support programs, pulmonary rehabilitation, laboratory services, pain management, childbirth classes, and community lectures and screenings.
