History
Started through a democratic process by like-minded volunteers in early 2012, San Jose Bike Clinic became a fiscally sponsored project of the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition by late 2012. The group would pop up at events such as farmers markets, operating out of a storage unit, until they were able to open a storefront in downtown San Jose in late 2014. In 2017, we then moved inside Local Color. And starting 2019, we once again have our own storefront right by St. James Park!

The Bike Clinic is a non-profit, volunteer-run, do-it-yourself community bike shop -- a place where you can bring your bike and learn from our volunteer mechanics how to use our tools to fix it up yourselves at our shop!
