San Gabriel Christian School serves more than 600 students in grades kindergarten through eight. Established in 1949, it is operated by the San Gabriel Union Church and is approved by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Its academic curriculum includes art, music, Bible study, technology education, science, social studies, mathematics, foreign languages, reading and physical education. The school s media center provides an online catalog system and more than 10 computers with Internet access and has a collection of over 11,000 books. It offers a wide variety of sports programs that include football, basketball, volleyball, cross country, cheerleading and swimming. Additionally, the school organizes field trips to various places, including museums, parks, farms, zoos, libraries, post offices and fire departments. The school is located in San Gabriel, Calif.
