San Francisco City Clinic Study

The Attorney of San Francisco s Office works to provide a variety of legal services to the mayor s office, board of supervisors, San Francisco Unified School District and more than 90 departments, commissions and offices. It maintains a litigation team that prosecutes civil actions and handles matters related to the enforcement of the city's building codes against slumlords. The office is also responsible for the prosecution of fraud and unfair competition actions against corporate defendants, including tobacco companies, the Bank of America and Old Republic Title. The Attorney of San Francisco s Office represents the city in over 7,500 actions annually, such as personal injury, property damage, child custody, welfare fraud and the breach of contract. It additionally has an administration department that is responsible for the management of law library and coordination of an in-house continuing legal education program. The office works under the City and County of San Francisco.
