Based in San Diego, Calif., San Diego Civic Youth Ballet has been the resident ballet school since 1945. The firm offers classes for four-year-old tiny tots to pre-professional upper-level students. San Diego Civic Youth Ballet's pre-professional technique classes include pointe, variations and modern dance and also offers adult ballet classes. The young artists are given the opportunity to perform in at least two major productions each year in the Casa del Prado Theater, including The Nutcracker.
