San Bernardino Environmental Health

The Department of Public Health is operated by the San Bernardino County and provides community and preventive health services to promote and improve the health and safety of County residents and visitors. It offers contraceptive, HIV testing, male sterilization, pregnancy, prenatal care, sexually transmitted disease, tuberculosis and women's cancer screening clinical services. The department operates the WIC program, which is a special supplemental nutrition program for women, infants, and children, funded by the United States Department of Agriculture. The Department of Public Health runs alcohol and drug abuse prevention and maternal, child and adolescent health programs. It provides health promotion and education, disease control and prevention, community nursing, family support, environmental health, waste management, animal care and preventive veterinary services.
