The San Antonio Ambulatory Surgical Center provides a safe, comfortable environment for day care surgery. We perform virtually every form of surgery that does not require an overnight stay.The beautiful, state-of-the art center is conveniently located on the San Antonio Community Hospital campus and is designed to make your stay as convenient and comfortable as possible. There are four operating rooms, a G.I. lab, a minor procedure room and an 11-bed recovery unit.The region's most-qualified surgeons perform procedures that do not require overnight stays. ENT, GI, general surgery, OBGYN, oral and maxillofacial, orthopedic, plastics, podiatric, and urological procedures. The center is staffed by highly qualified nurses and surgical technicians who are dedicated to assuring you the highest level of personal care and patient satisfaction.Physicians who are on staff at the Center refer eligible patients for surgeries. On the day of surgery, the patient walks into the Center, has the operation and one or two hours later, walks out and is safely home.
