Salvation Army The Center For Worship & Service

Operational for more than 120 years, The Salvation Army has been operating as a provider of social services through 24 separate program sites spread across the Southland. Located in Gary, Ind., it has representation in 120 different countries worldwide, in addition to nearly 8,000 centers of operation across the United States. This includes 33 community centers (Corps), 43 area Salvation Army thrift stores and adult rehabilitation centers (ARC). The organization serves underprivileged people in shelters, schools and daycare centers through various programs. These are available in the categories of family support, alcohol/drug addiction, health, education and human trafficking, to name a few.
