Salmon River Outpost Welcome to Somes Bar's General Store Proprietors Chris Hatton and Tera Palmer Somes Bar is a remote community in Northern California located at the confluence of the Cal Salmon and the Klamath Rivers. We are surrounded by the Marble Mountain Wilderness and are close to the Trinity Alps and Russian Wilderness Areas. The Fishing is excellent, the Wilderness is pristine, and the boating is superb.

They have basic groceries and some more esoteric items that you might not find down the road in Orleans. Friendly people and Grateful Dead on the p.a. system. No sammiches anymore.
