The Sacramento Judo Club, established in 1935, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of youth and adults through the sport of Judo. Following the teachings of Jigoro Kano, the founder of Kodokan Judo, the club is recognized as a 5 STAR JUDO CLUB for excellence and is ranked among the top ten dojos in the United States.
As a charitable organization, the club relies on volunteers, including certified instructors, who generously donate their time and expertise to provide education and training in Judo. All fees charged for participation go towards supporting the club's operations, as well as the development of participants, with fundraising activities and donations further assisting low-income students and competitors in national or international competitions.
