The first formation meeting of the Sacramento County Horsemen's Association (SCHA) was held January 19, 1942 at Clunie Clubhouse with Judge James McDonnell presiding. Nearly 200 equestrians attended. The organization was confirmed and officers elected. The first president was LeRoy J. Miller.
Our business is an equestrian facility, with so much to offer. We are a Membership Association managed by a volunteer board of directors, that has continuously been active since our incorporation in 1942. We are a 501c3 Non-profit organization. We have riding trails out our back door, horse shows, riding lessons, arenas, youth programs, trail and creek stewardship, monthly membership dinners and a staging area for the Arcade Creek equestrian trails. Our Saddle Oaks Clubhouse, with a seating capacity of 180 people is also available for rent for you special event.

Amazing staff. Incredible amenities with two lighted arenas, round pen, 3 turnouts and trails on site! Horses are fed 3x a day and are treated like royalty by all staff members and boarders.
