The department provides administrative, legal personnel, civil, court and animal services. It conducts special weapons and tactics, crisis negotiation, teaching tolerance and field training programs. The Yolo County Sheriff s Department has corrections emergency response and narcotics enforcement teams. It also has an investigative division that conducts investigations, gathers evidence, arrests offenders, and interviews suspects, witnesses and victims.
