History
Ryan's Sport Shop was established by the late Mike Ryan of San Jose. Mike was the 1911 World Marathon Champion, a 1912 Olympic Marathoner, and the winner of the 1912 Boston Marathon. The running Goettelmann family -- Gary, Gail and son Steve -- bought the shop from the Ryans in 1978, and offer high-quality running equipment, personal, knowledgeable service and coaching. Goettelmann's Ryan's Sport Shop was named in the Top-50 US Running Stores -- 2006, 2007 --by the Running Network.
Specialties
Training shoes and racing flats for road, track and X-Country. All- weather clothing for every discipline. Track & Field shoes and equipment, from spikes to shot puts to pole vault poles. We can order hurdles, mats, etc. Whites Boots and Nick's Boots for heavy work, fire fighting, horse and motorcylce riding. Rugby, wrestling, volleyball and swimming gear.

Ryan's is a no frills running shoe shop. You won't see any fancy machines here. But what you do get is tremendous knowledge and expertise. My high school cross country coach brought the team here...
