Rusty's Repair

Rusty's Honda and Mazda has become an institution among Honda and Mazda owners in Santa Cruz County. Rusty Carl opened his shop in October, 1986, and quickly developed a following because he required all of his mechanics to have the highest level of training in Honda and Mazda vehicles. Rusty has 32 years experience in auto mechanics himself, and only chooses the best people to work with and for him. After all, he has his reputation to maintain! Since his idea was to work exclusively on Hondas and Mazdas, it meant that they would only have to buy all the specialized tools for these makes and models. Often, a shop that works on all makes or models couldn't afford all the tools nor have the specialized training that Rusty and his crew have. In addition, Rusty's Honda and Mazda has been a "Clean Ocean Business" since 2001, and has also become a "Certified Green Business". Because of their sterling reputation for excellent work, reasonable charges and total honesty, they have also been the winner of Good Times "Best Auto Repair" business a number of times. Since they are a total one-stop repair and service business, they are of course a licensed SMOG CHECK and repair station. In 1989, the Loma Prieta earthquake virtually destroyed Rusty's shop. Undaunted, after getting over the shock of seeing his business in ruins, Rusty went into high gear and managed to get his building rebuilt in just 4 months! Click HERE to see photos.
