Dr. Serang knew at a young age that she wanted to have a positive impact on people. It was serving as her parents’ health care advocate during their medical appointments that she quickly learned the importance of a strong doctor-patient relationship. These experiences reinforced her passion and led her to pursue a career as a physician with the interest of her patients in mind. She takes great pride in building relationships with her patients and believes that she can be a better physician when she has an open dialogue with them. As she states it best, “I treat my patients like family. I am here to listen to their health concerns and needs so that I can provide the best possible care. I value my patient’s trust, and understand that every patient has unique experiences that have shaped their life and health. My goal is to work with each patient to provide comprehensive quality care at every visit.” Dr. Serang graduated with honors in Physiology and Neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego. She went on to earn her medical degree from Western University in California and completed her academic residency training at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. When not working, Dr. Serang enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and her two children, who were both born at Hoag Hospital. She also paints and crochets amigurumi.
