Rowland High School

John A Rowland High School is a public school offering education to students of grades nine through 12. It provides various advanced placement, honors and International Baccalaureate courses in various subjects, including business education, English, family and consumer sciences, history, social sciences and industrial technology. It also offers courses in mathematics, physical education, science, world languages, and visual and performing arts. Its special education department provides various programs, such as Resource Specialist, Special Day Class and Inclusion Program. It also offers instructional services for the disabled, including speech and physical education, and emphasizes on life skill activities, pre-employment experiences, and social and independent living awareness. The school s athletic programs include cross country, badminton, football tennis, soccer, golf, water polo, swimming and track. The school also has a library providing magazines, books and online public access catalogs. Its counseling department offers information on careers, colleges, financial aid and counseling for personality development. Located in Rowland Heights, Calif., it is a part of the Rowland Unified School District.
