The Roseville Historical Society is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich history of Roseville, California, through various initiatives including the digitization of historical documents and photographs. Established to protect the Carnegie Library building and its legacy, the society has played a pivotal role in educating the community about local heritage since its founding in the early 1980s.

With a commitment to restoration and preservation, the society has successfully transformed the Carnegie Library into the Carnegie Library Museum, where visitors can explore the city's past. The efforts of dedicated volunteers and historians, such as Leonard Duke Davis and Phoebe Astill, have ensured that the stories, places, and events that shaped Roseville are documented and accessible for future generations.
