Rohnert Park Police Department

The Rohnert Park Police Department provides law enforcement and emergency services to the residents of Rohnert Park, Calif. In addition to law enforcement, the department organizes and operates community service projects, a traffic bureau, neighborhood watch program, schools safety programs, a gang unit, narcotics unit and an investigations unit. The department utilizes a significant number of volunteers. Aside from the traditional fire volunteer and the police reserve officer, the department also has a Police Service Aides program. These volunteers are utilized in numerous non-hazardous tasks with the department, such as traffic control, parking enforcement, security at fire and crime scenes and bicycle patrol. Rohnert Park is located in Sonoma County in Northern California. It has a population of more than 40,000 residents.
