HistorySince I was in my twenties, I dreamt of creating an uplifting experience where the communion with others, play, revelation, nature, our senses and food could all be delighted as one. I thought of backyards, picnics, deep discussion, home cooked meals with love and alchemy, music and education. A feeling of togetherness and magic. I catered here and there, worked in farming here and there. Had my eyes opened by permaculture and sustainable farming methods, the slow food movement, the localvore movement, plant communication. Several years later as I found myself in a transitional moment in my life it struck me like a lightening bolt. Its time! Our dining experiences are crafted using a ever evolving palette that celebrates the purity of what nature has to offer. We bring you seasonally-inspired meals that cultivate an awareness of the earth's natural rhythms. Our menus feature local farms that grow organic food sustainably in the greatest sense of the word. We pride ourselves on being part of a growing agricultural paradigm that creates whole systems to restore and improve the health of landscapes and ecosystems. By committing ourselves to only sourcing ingredients from within a 100-mile radius of San Mateo County, we demonstrate independence from energy intensive food distribution channels and help to build local economies.
