The Rocklin Police Department is a full-service police agency with more than 80 full-time personnel, over 15 reserve police officers and a large group of citizen volunteers. The department has various units and specialties including, uniformed patrol, traffic enforcement, investigations, canines, school resource officers, drug abuse resistance education officers, crime prevention, dispatch, records, evidence and animal control. Its animal control officers offer a variety of services, including providing assistance with animal problems, pickup of dead animals and injured pets, veterinary services, bite reports, enforcement of animal laws and ordinances, and transportation of stray and abandoned animals. The department s investigations unit provides support and conducts investigations for other Rocklin Police Department units.
