Open Sat and Sun 10am-4pm. Closed Jan and Feb. The Rock Stop idea was born in early 2002. After selling at a series of Gem and Mineral shows, we knew we loved this business and that we would be good at it. We were already doing our ecological California Jade gathering by helicopter from riverbeds in the remote wilderness of Northern California. People had heard of our wildland escapades and were very interested in what we had to sell. By July 2002 we had rented our storefront at the Floodgate on Hwy 128 and began to fill it up with the most beautiful and interesting items we could find. Now, after nearly 20 years at the same location, the Rock Stop has become a life-size treasure box. Come see us soon! Sam Gitchel and Family
