History

Melanie is a NASM certified personal trainer specializing in weight loss, core training & lean muscle gain without the use of limiting machines & heavy weights. Melanie replaces fear & intimidation with fun & challenging workouts, combining highly effective functional exercises along with great music, the beautiful San Diego outdoors & cutting edge innovative thinking. Over the years, Mels worked with hundreds of clients and is currently a health & fitness contributor for Carmel Valley Life Magazine. She sets goals for her clients early and continually revisits them throughout their training so they stay motivated and aware of the continual concrete results they're getting. Combining her two career passions of culinary arts & fitness has been an exciting journey that has allowed her to delve deeper into helping others and igniting that passion to be the best you you can be. Mel cares deeply about her clients and provides 24/7 support with recipes, tips, & unique emailed workouts.

Mel's Boot Camp focuses on full body workouts that use all areas of fitness including cardio/muscular endurance, fat loss & weight loss, full body strength, agility, balance & flexibility. A typical boot camp is 60mins long & incorporates a variety of fitness excercises including obstacles, ladder drills, sandbags, cone drills, kettelbells, relays, core work, battle ropes, plyomentric training & bodyweight exercises. These high energy outdoor group workouts challenge you to try new ways of testing your limits & improving your athletic skills. Obstacle courses, ladder drills, cone drills, stair running, relays, push-ups & sit-ups will keep you striving to reach your best while your peers cheer & encourage you on!
