Established in 1991, the Merced County Rescue Mission is a nonprofit, nondenominational and Christian organization that provides community-based services for low-income individuals and families. It maintains shelter homes for men and women and provides food and chapel services. The organization offers training in anger management, parenting and life skills development. The Merced County Rescue Mission provides Christian counseling, case management and medication assistance services. Additionally, it conducts educational sessions in Bible study. The organization also offers vocational guidance and employment services. The Merced County Rescue Mission provides furniture, household items, clothing, toys and Easter baskets. It also offers the New Life Transformation and the New Life Discipleship programs. The organization is located in Merced, Calif.
