Riverside Shotokan Karate

History

Our program started in 2008 when the Orange Terrace Community Center opened its doors. Our lineage has been in the City of Riverside for many years, from Ray Dalke's Riverside Karate Club to the world renowned UCR Karate Program led by Shihan Edmond Otis. All our instructors are UCR graduates so we understand the importance of education being side by side with physical development and strength.

Specialties

We teach Shotokan Karate-Do to help students develop confidence, self-control, situational awareness, and self-defense. Riverside Shotokan Karate has over 100 students with various classes throughout the week so the classes are not too crowded. All our instructors are certified by the AJKA-International and European Board of Education through the Instructor's Training program. We have classes for all ages and rank, specialized adults classes, competition classes, weapons classes and also a special needs karate class to work with kids with disabilities. Every child deserves a chance to do what they want to do!
