Rio Vista Elementary School

Located in Cathedral City, Calif., Rio Vista Elementary School is a learning center that serves more than 650 students in kindergarten through grade five. It is a part of the Palm Springs Unified School District, which operates over 20 educational with a combined enrollment of approximately 24,000 students. Rio Vista Elementary School offers academic classes in a variety of subjects, such as English, reading, math, science, social studies, language arts, writing, life skills, spelling, art, computer applications, music, and health and physical education. The school organizes a variety of extracurricular activities, such as back-to-school nights, open houses, fall festivals, field trips, dance shows, and book and science fairs. Rio Vista Elementary School maintains a school site council, parent-teacher association and the English Language Learners Committee.
