Rehabilitation Institute was established in 1950 to serve the multi-faceted needs of persons with functional disabilities caused by birth defect, disease, medical conditions or accident. Services are provided without regard to age, race, creed, sex, or economic status. It attains its goal of improving the quality of life of disabled persons by providing comprehensive, coordinated programs, which increase the ability of disabled individuals to function at home and school, on the job and in the community.
