Redwood Day School, established in 1963 is an independent, nonprofit, coeducational school located in Oakland, Calif. The school has an enrollment of more than 300 students in grades kindergarten through eight. Its curriculum includes Spanish, English, business, math, science, social studies, music, computer technology and physical education. It offers various sports activities, including soccer, track, cross-country, basketball and volleyball. The school offers various activities, such as science and chess clubs, clay, sculpture, and dance and piano lessons. It organizes events, such as field trips, hiking, theater and musical production. It also offers a library, gymnasium, computer laboratory facilities and cafeteria service to its students. Redwood Day School is accredited by the California Association of Independent Schools.
