The Redwood City Police Department employs more than 95 sworn officers. It offers an array of traffic safety and crime prevention programs and is located in Redwood City, Calif. The department also works in collaboration with other state agencies to address illegal drug use and criminal and street gang violence. The Redwood City Police Department s patrol division responds to more than 48,000 service calls each year. Its investigation division helps in the analysis and prevention of crimes against property and people. The Redwood City Police Department also operates an administrative division that maintains crime reports, warrants and traffic citations and provides spiritual support and grief counseling to decedents families.
