Its division of addiction and recovery services works to reduce substance abuse and criminogenic risks. The division also provides in-prison substance abuse treatments and runs associated community aftercare programs. Its substance abuse programs utilize the therapeutic community and other treatment models. The department also houses a division of education, vocations and offender programs, which conducts a variety of vocational programs, including plumbing, electrical, print and graphic, cleaning, landscaping and vehicle repair occupations. Additionally, it maintains a division of reentry and recidivism reduction.
