Operational for more than 35 years, Peace Over Violence, formerly known as the Los Angeles Commission on Assaults Against Women, is a social services organization that offers child abuse, sexual assault and youth violence prevention services. It provides crisis intervention, legal advocacy, and drug and alcohol addiction prevention services. The organization serves individuals with physical, hearing and mental disabilities, as well as delinquent youths and senior citizens. It hosts various conferences that focus on teenager dating and sexual violence prevention and is attended by youth service providers, educators and advocates. Located in Los Angeles, Calif., Peace Over Violence conducts penal discussions, presentations and media interviews on issues related to interpersonal violence.
