Founded in 1997, Rancho Del Rey Middle School is located in Chula Vista, Calif. the middle school offers a wide range of educational and enrichment programs to students in grades six through eight. The middle school provides amenities, such as technology labs, a business lab equipped with computers, cafeteria, playgrounds and a media center. The school offers classes in subjects that include English, writing, math, history, science, earth science, technology, algebra and geometry. It also offers instructional programs in comprehension, special education and vocabulary. Rancho Del Rey Middle School also provides a wide range of sports activities, including baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, and track and field. The school was awarded as the California Distinguished School in the year 2001.
