The Ramona Wildlife Center, part of the San Diego Humane Society, spans 13 acres and specializes in the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of native apex predators like bobcats, coyotes, and bears. Equipped with a fully staffed medical center, the center also features the largest free-flight enclosure for birds of prey in North America, allowing injured avian species to recover and regain their strength.

Home to 22 animal ambassadors including a pygmy hippo named Hannah, the center fosters a nurturing environment for orphaned and injured wildlife. The center hosts educational tours and various community programs aimed at promoting coexistence with wildlife and raising awareness of conservation efforts.
