Thunder Road Adolescent Treatment Centers assist youth and their families to recover from the abuse of alcohol, drugs and nicotine. It has a team of in-house psychiatrists, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, drug and alcohol counselors and licensed nursing staff. It offers a variety of programs, including short-term inpatient program, long-term residential program, probation programs, accessing treatment, intensive outpatient program and continuing care services. It works in association with a variety of nonprofit agencies, private businesses, educational institutions, government entities and foundations, such as CARF, Merritt Peralta Institute, Sutter Health and United Way. Thunder Road Adolescent Treatment Centers was established in 1987 and is located in Oakland, Calif.
