History

Kurt Nix brings a wealth of knowledge in the restoration industry with over 40 years of experience as a restoration contractor and technician. At the beginning of his career, he operated Raincross Carpet and Fabricare, providing upholstery, carpet and drapery cleaning services in the Riverside area. During this time, Nix served on the Carpet and Fabricare Institute (CFI) board of directors for eight years, organizing regular CFI monthly chapter meetings for the technicians in the area. In 1998, he purchased a restoration franchise where he provided fire and water damage remediation services for insurance claims throughout the greater Orange County area. He later moved back to his hometown, Yucaipa, where he provided similar fire and water damage restoration services as Nix Professional Restoration. Now operating as PuroClean Emergency Restoration Services, the franchise made a great fit for Kurt's next business endeavor because his goals aligned with the brand's.
