History

After 23 years in the U.S. Postal Service; In 1990, I went to Beauty School from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. I worked at the U.S.P.S. from 10:20 PM to 7:05 AM, Sunday through Friday. I finished school in 9 months and 8 days. Upon completion of school, I found a wonderful location in the Dimond District of Oakland, at 3433 Fruitvale Ave. (The Pure Gold Hair Salon) for 8 and a half years until we outgrew that location. Then in 2000, The Pure Gold Restoration Clinic was born at 3431 Fruitvale Avenue, right next door. It flourished wonderfully. We have maintained the same standard of hair care for the past 22 years. There is absolutely nothing that gives me more pleasure than to restore someone's hair and see the joy on their face. This is the magic I enjoy.

Specialties

We specialize in Hair Restoration. We repair damaged, distressed hair from chemicals: perms, relaxer and color; weaves, braids wigs and stress. Our goals is to help each client get and keep healthy hair. Our slogan: Come and see us so you never look like you need to come and see us.
