In 1893, not long before they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, John Michael Price, the founder of Pismo Beach, CA., and his wife Andrea moved into their new two story redwood home. “Friends of the Price House, Inc. is creating and managing Price Historical Park in Pismo Beach at the site of the John Price family home on Rancho Pismo, by preserving, restoring, and displaying the Price Anniversary House, the Meherin House, the Ortega-Price adobes, a replica Chumash village, a museum, barn, orchard, gardens, amphitheater and rancho grounds, in order to promote education and understanding of the history and prehistory of Pismo Beach and the Central Coast.”
