The Potrero Hill Community Garden, established in the early 1970s, is one of the many community gardens operated under the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department. With 51 plots and common areas, it offers local residents an opportunity to engage in organic gardening while enjoying stunning panoramic views of the city.

Situated on a site formerly grazed by the Goat Lady of Potrero Hill, the garden thrives in a sunny Mediterranean climate that supports the cultivation of a variety of fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants, including the dahlias—San Francisco's official flower. Membership is open to all city residents, fostering a sense of community and commitment to sustainable gardening practices.
