Potrero Heights Park Community & Senior Center

The Los Angeles County Aging Disabilities Department (AD) is a newly established department dedicated to improving the lives and supporting the self-determination of older adults, people with disabilities, and diverse communities in Los Angeles County. AD brings together aging, disability, and community services previously under different departments, and houses the LA County Commission for Older Adults and the Commission on Disabilities, along with 14 local community hubs that provide a wide range of in-person services.

AD offers a virtual Older Adults Resource Hub, access to food resources, caregiver services, legal assistance, and supportive services through their Disability Information and Access Line. They also provide reporting services for elder and dependent abuse, as well as information and referral services for older adults through their Information Assistance Referral Line. Additionally, AD is committed to promoting independent living for people with disabilities and older adults through the Disability Community Resources Center. They also provide resources for cooling centers during extreme heat weather conditions and assistance programs such as CalFresh for low-income households.
