The Port of Oakland provides aviation, maritime and commercial real estate services to residents and visitors to the greater San Franciso/Oakland, Calif., area. The Port of Oakland occupies 19 miles of waterfront on the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay, with approximately 900 acres devoted to maritime activities and another 2,600 acres devoted to aviation activities. The port owns, manages and markets seaport facilities on San Francisco Bay and the Oakland Estuary. The seaport ranks among the top four in the United States and top 20 in the world in terms of annual container traffic. It also owns and operates Oakland International Airport, the San Francisco Bay Area's second largest airport.
