History

Originally established in 1961 Pierpoint has been an important part of the Camp Nelson mountain community for many years. In November, after the big Pier fire in the Sequoia National Forest, we closed escrow on Pierpoint and immediately began a complete renovation of the inside. We reopened the General Store in early spring, followed by the Restaurant and Bar on Memorial Weekend.

Specialties

Located in a small mountain community in the Sequoia National Forest, we sell groceries, souvenirs, household items, fishing and camping gear, beer, wine and ice. We also have a business center where you can make copies, use our computer kiosk, own a mail box, duplicate keys, find a notary, and get postal services. Tourists driving through stop at Pierpoint to get local information as well as local maps. Our customers can also use our free wireless internet.

Best smoked BBQ Tri-Tip sandwich and house potato chips! Amazing food and calm, friendly people and place to enjoy a stop from winding road.

Paid $7.00 for a bag of ice here. We needed it as our cabin didn't have icemaker but only one very small ice cube tray.
