HistoryPoer Music Network is a revitalization of the music collective concept. We bring together handpicked talent from the Orange County / Greater SoCal area to pool talent, and help musicians combine forces for the greater good! Since musicians mainly occupy themselves with two activities - (1) performing and (2) teaching, we've decided to create a music collective that caters to both! Our collective has two wings - the Education Wing and the Network Wing. Since most of our Network Musicians (working performers) are also teachers, you can rest assured that the music instruction you receive from us is from top-notch performing artists! They're artists who devote their life to their craft. Membership to the Network as a Performing Artist takes not only talent, but also responsibility, organization, and congeniality. Thus, we also strive to instill these qualities in our students. We are fairly new, but our connections are not! Get in touch to hear more about what we're doing! We specialize in traditional styles of music, such as Classical, Baroque, Romantic and Impressionist styles, as well as contemporary niche genres such as Gospel, R&B, Pop-Rock, and Broadway. Our curriculum also places a strong focus on the understanding of the music itself, and thus we also emphasize Musicianship (Ear Training / Transcription), Harmonic Theory, Counterpoint, Composition, and Foundational Skills such as reading Sheet Music, Chord Charts, and Sightsinging.
