Our experience encompasses a wide range of project types including church and institutional, historical preservation, garden design, residential, office, retail, industrial, institutional, mixed use and resort development. RLA offers the client the design knowledge gained by over thirty years of project involvement. The majority of our work experience is in California. RLA incorporates sustainable solutions in every design and has worked with professional teams to achieve LEED certification for several projects, and has two staff members who are LEED certified. Our knowledge of industry standards, current product specifications, probable construction costs and long-term maintenance issues is the result of experience gained in overseeing numerous projects from master planning through the construction phase. Principal involvement from project inception to completion and adherence to the design process are the methods our firm employs to ensure a successful project. We believe there is more than one solution to every design problem; therefore, we prepare alternative design concepts for client review to promote discussion and maximize input. CADD technology is utilized to provide accurate and efficient information flow between disciplines and achieve high quality graphic clarity. Ridge Landscape Architects computer capability includes 10 CADD workstations utilizing version 2008 of AutoCAD. RLA is prepared to assist in obtaining and evaluating contractor bid proposals to facilitate proper interpretation of contract documents. During the field observation phase we can select plant materials and review project installation of landscape construction elements, planting and irrigation items. Review of on going maintenance activities is a service RLA provides to ensure the design intent becomes a reality.
