Founded in 1880, Peralta Elementary School enrolls students in kindergarten through grade five. It provides educational services to more than 250 students. The school s academic curriculum includes math, technology, environmental science, art, music and Spanish. Peralta Elementary School offers an online songbook that includes a variety of songs for students. It operates a parent-teacher group, as well as offers several fundraising activities. Its staff includes a librarian, art teacher, secretary and treasurer. Located in Oakland, Calif., Peralta Elementary School is operated by the Oakland Unified School District, which operates various elementary, middle, high and adult schools and child development centers. The district offers special education programs for gifted and talented students.
