This is no longer the old pepper steak diner its a Mexican restaurant now with the same name. As the new owners kept the old business name. The food isn't good and definitely worse than the old...

Order was wrong, I had a side of consomé that was nothing but oil!! I've noticed that a lot of the meat in the quesa birria is just fat!!
