History

The concept for Peoples Barber & Shop started 3 years prior to our opening and 2000 miles away. We began with an idea of bringing back quality grooming services for men at affordable prices. While in Chicago, we were reminded of a time when a barber shop was about community. A place where men could gather and relax; all while getting a shave and a haircut. A place for the People. We started collecting antique, porcelain-based barber chairs, furniture and items reminiscent of an earlier era. We brought our idea (and our chairs) west to our current home in the heart of San Francisco.

Specializing in choice haircuts, straight razor shaves and hot towel treatments. We take appointments and walk-ins.
