The Peninsula Symphony, based in Redondo Beach, CA, is a dynamic and vibrant symphony orchestra that has been captivating audiences since its founding in 1967. Led by Music Director and Conductor David Cubek, the orchestra showcases a diverse range of musical selections from various cultures, including American, European, South American, African, and Asian, with the aim of enriching the lives of the community through free orchestral concerts. Committed to achieving recognized artistic excellence, the Peninsula Symphony also supports young musicians through its youth orchestra, providing music opportunities for underserved areas.
With a mission to cultivate a love of music and provide community education and family entertainment, the Peninsula Symphony relies on memberships and donations to cover the significant costs of presenting their concerts. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, they offer open seating for most concerts and perform at the acoustically-sound auditorium of Redondo Union High School. Through their dedication to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access, the Peninsula Symphony continues to bring the joy of music to the Palos Verdes and South Bay communities.
