Advanced Business Solutions

A Little History of Our Business Our company was founded back in 1976 with our invention of what is known today as the Berg Liquor Control System, This product launched us into the restaurant and hospitality business. In 1979 we took a state of the art fast food point of sale system called HLX ( from Anaheim, California ) and modified its hardware and software to accommodate a restaurant application. This CPU based system with its floppy disk drive and network of terminals became one the first computer point of sale systems installed in a table service restaurant. From there Advanced Business Solutions, a division of Retail Control Systems Inc, grew to be the largest privately owned POS dealership in the San Francisco bay area with a complete line of cash registers, Point of Sale Systems & Computers. By 1983 we had installed systems in over 23 states and in Canada. Over the years the POS market has grown leaps and bounds and we have continued to evaluate and explore other point of sale products as they have entered the market. With the ATV Epicure ( formerly HLX ) doing so well we turned down offers from Squirrel, Remanco and NCR to market their products. In 1985 ATV closed it's doors due to legal issues in several of its nine subsidiaries. We then had to re-examine the POS marketplace and choose a new vendor that we felt would best serve us and our hospitality customers. That product was MICROS Systems of Beltsville, Maryland. With register to register communications and multiple remote printer capability it was the superior product of the time. Thirty-two years later, Advanced Business Solution's only focus is remains to be the hospitality industry with MICROS as it's only product line. MICROS has grown to be #1 in the world in the table service market surpassing 30% of the global market share. Our staff constitutes a combined knowledge of well over 100 years of hospitality experience in this extremely vertical marketplace. With 24 hour, 7 day a week support via on-site or remote communication diagnostics we consistently provide the best customer service possible.
