Pengbo Jiang, MD

Dr. Amin Sabet is a board-certified UCI Health cardiologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. He works closely with patients to manage conditions including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart rhythm abnormalities and heart failure. His clinical interests include cardiovascular imaging, valvular disease, coronary artery disease and cardiac involvement in autoimmune diseases. Sabet earned his medical degree at Tehran University Azad Medical Branch in Iran, after which he worked as a researcher at the University of Bonn in Germany and at UC San Diego. He completed a residency in internal medicine at UC Riverside School of Medicine-RCH, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at UC San Francisco School of Medicine, Fresno campus. Next, he completed a fellowship in advanced cardiac imaging at UC San Diego School of Medicine. His approach to patient care is defined by evidence-based, personalized treatment, patient education, and a commitment to patient well-being. His advanced training in multimodality cardiovascular imaging, including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac MRI and cardiac CT, enhance his understanding, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Aditi Thakkar is a UCI Health endocrinologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the endocrine system. She earned her medical degree at the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences in Karad, India. She completed her residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. Next, she completed fellowship training in endocrinology at the UCI School of Medicine.

Dr. Qin Yang is a board-certified, fellowship-trained UCI Health endocrinologist who specializes in diseases and conditions of the endocrine system, including diabetes and metabolic disorders. He received his medical degree from the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in Nanjing, China. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine's Jacobi Medical Center in New York City. He received fellowship training in endocrinology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Mass. Yang's research interests include the epigenetic regulation of insulin resistance and energy expenditure in obesity and type 2 diabetes. His lab is also developing new methods aimed at selectively raising the metabolic rate of organs involved in obesity. He is the author or co-author of many research studies that have appeared in major peer-reviewed publications.
