About VACF MISSION Vietnamese American Cancer Foundation (VACF ) is a dedicated to preventing cancer, improving patient quality of life, and saving lives through cancer education, research, advocacy, and services in the Vietnamese community. xxx The Vietnamese community is one of the fastest growing immigrant communities in United States. Similar to any other ethnic groups, Vietnamese community has a need for language and culturally appropriate information related to cancer to address specific and unique needs of the community. Additionally, Vietnamese cancer patients and their family need psychosocial supports that could address their unique culture and beliefs.

About Our Organization The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles was founded on the notion of "one child, one wish" in 1983. Since that time, we have brightened the lives of more than 7, 200 children with a wide range of life-threatening medical conditions. While medical technology and treatments have allowed the children we serve to lead longer lives, we continue to strive towards our ultimate mission of fulfilling a wish for every child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in Los Angeles County.

The Tri-Counties Chapter, which serves Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties began in 1985 and is headquartered in Ventura. We grant 65-80 wishes annually with a team of 100+ Volunteer Wish Granters. The Tri-Counties Chapter, which serves Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties was founded in 1985 by Linda and John Jensen and a team of local volunteers.
