My work experience includes: local clinics with physical therapists, chiropractors, and physicians; local colleges; local resorts; my private office. I have worked with professional, collegiate, and amateur athletes of all kinds, in private practice and at sixty track and field events, marathons, 10ks, triathlons, and bicycle races. Certificate from Amaranth School of Massage in Carmel in 1980; Sports Massage Certification from AMTA in 1985; Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork from 1992-2015; CAMTC Certified Massage Therapist since 2009; Board Certified Massage Therapist since May 2015; NCBTMB/AMTA Sports Massage Specialty Certificate earned December 2018; Created the Massage Therapy Program at Monterey Peninsula College and taught the classes for twenty-seven years.

Trigger Point Massage is a method of myofascial release used to manage acute and chronic pain and limited mobility. Trigger points cause myofascial pain syndrome, a pervasive condition that produces a host of symptoms and mimics serious medical disorders. Trigger points cause referred pain--the trigger point location often isn't where you feel the pain--and create taut bands in skeletal muscles that limit mobility. Deep Tissue Massage uses a variety of techniques applied with greater pressure to produce greater therapeutic impact. Deep Tissue Massage is a style of massage comprised of a variety of techniques. Usually, deep tissue massage is simply Swedish Massage given with more force. Deep tissue massage may be uncomfortable when applied, but it usually provides better results than more superficial massage. Sports Massage focuses on the unique physical and psychological needs of those who are athletic or simply active. Sports massage can: reduce or eliminate pain; improve speed, power and endurance; improve efficiency and consistency of training; shorten recovery time; prevent injuries in potential trouble spots; recover more quickly from acute or chronic soft-tissue injuries; reduce chances of re-injury; extend athletic life span.
